Rewards & Participation Rules
This hackathon uses a Results-Based Financing (RBF) model. That means you earn rewards by showing up, completing missions, and collaborating with your team - not just by winning.
How Rewards Work
Total Reward Pool
USDC 5,000
Teams
10 teams
Participants
Up to 50
Per Team
5 students
- Rewards are distributed through milestones, not as a single prize.
- Payments are executed via a smart contract based on verified completion.
- Any unused funds roll into the final completion pool, increasing rewards for teams that finish strong.
Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for rewards, participants must:
- Be registered for the hackathon
- Be assigned to a registered team
- Complete onboarding requirements
- Log in and participate according to the event schedule
- Submit required deliverables by the stated deadlines
Failure to meet the criteria for a specific milestone means that milestone reward will not be triggered.
Milestone Breakdown
M1 - Onboarding & Readiness
Triggered when:
- At least one team member attends the 60-minute onboarding session
- The team completes Moodle login
- The team sets up and verifies a MetaMask wallet
Teams that do not complete onboarding are not eligible for this reward. Unused funds roll into the final completion pool.

M4 - Excellence Badges
Badges recognize standout individual contributions and are limited in number:
- Friday activity excellence badges
- Mission-based excellence badges
Badges are awarded manually based on peer and marketplace evaluation. Badge rewards are paid to the team wallet of the recipient. Unawarded badges roll into the final completion pool.
M5 - Final Evokation Completion Pool
Triggered when:
- The team presents the final Evokation
- All required deliverables are submitted
- The final presentation is completed
All unused funds from previous milestones are added to this pool and distributed evenly among qualifying teams.
M6 - Final Dividend / Investment Trigger
After final presentations:
- Teams participate in a voting or investment-style mechanism
- Only votes aligned with the final winning team(s) qualify
- Rewards are distributed proportionally based on correct allocations
There is no minimum or maximum payout per team for this milestone.
